PKL Services, Inc. has been awarded a contract by the US Air Force (USAF), in support of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), beginning January 2013. PKL will provide services to train personnel in aircraft maintenance and logistics specialties for RSAF F-15 C/D/S model aircraft. Services will be provided in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at RSAF base facilities: King Khalid Air Base, Khamis Mushayt Air Base, and King Abdul Aziz Air Base.
Services provided by the contract include providing training to produce qualified technicians in assigned specialties and providing Upgrade Training for technicians. Areas of training and specialties include Avionics, Tactical Aircraft Maintenance, Propulsion, Electrical, Armament Systems, Aerospace Ground Equipment, Egress, Fuels, Hydraulics, and Maintenance Management. PKL will provide instructors and training to include academic and classroom style teaching as well as hands-on Upgrade Training to provide the students with the necessary skills to independently operate aircraft systems, subsystems, and related support equipment. For this contract, PKL will employ approximately 93 skilled instructors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

An article was written and published recently on DVIDS discussing the ways in which MCAS Miramar stays safety smart. Written by Lance Cpl. Christopher Johns, the article highlights the types of safety training that supervisors must complete. During his tour of the site Lance Cpl. Johns took photos of Marines and Contractors working on the aircraft. We are pleased to share that our hard-working (and safety conscious!) employee, Blair Hencratt was one of the people photographed for the article.

PKL”s Corporate office hosted a food drive for the San Diego Food Bank during the month of December. Our team did a great job collecting canned goods to donate and today we took the full donation to the food bank. The final tally was 143 lbs of food!! Great job team – we are proud of all of you for helping our local community!

PKL Services, Inc. has been awarded a sub-contract agreement as part of a contract award to BAE Systems for the T-34, T-44, T-6 Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Support by the U.S. Navy. The contract was awarded on Nov. 30, 2012 with full performance scheduled to commence on Feb. 1, 2013. This multi-year contract provides maintenance, modifications, and logistics support services for all Navy T-34C, T-44A, and T-6A aircraft assigned to Navy flight training squadrons at Naval Air Station Pensacola (NASP), Naval Air Station Whiting Field (NASWF), and Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (NASCC). These aircraft are an integral part of Chief of Naval Air Training providing critical flight training to hundreds of Student Naval Aviators each year, supplying the combat aviators of tomorrow. PKL is proud to be part of this critical mission.
For this contract, PKL looks forward to welcoming to our team approximately 83 highly skilled artisans for the T-34 and T-6 aircraft at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. PKL will assist the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and our corporate teammates in maintaining high aircraft readiness by providing innovative, responsive logistics services including Organizational (O- level) and Intermediate (I-level) maintenance spread across multiple functions and disciplines.

We recently visited our employees at MCAS Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. We have nearly 130 personnel working on our RESET contract at this location. Our teams at Camp Pendleton perform aerospace maintenance service and logistics support for the U.S. Marine Corps working on rotary wing aircraft, including AH-1W/Z, UH-1N/Y, CH-46 and CH-53 helicopters. We are grateful for their exceptional work and thank them for their dedication to PKL!

Our PKL H-1 team was presented with a Letter of Appreciation from HMLA 469 by the CO for the services they provided while deployed in Afghanistan. A patch was flown in their honor on November 10, 2012 for their contributions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Click here to see the award and patch that was presented to our team.

PKL Services, Inc. has provided a platinum level sponsorship for the San Diego State University Aztec Cheerleaders Squad. Our local University has had great years recently in Basketball, Football, Golf, and Swimming. The Aztecs cheerleaders are made up of a team of 35 talented, hard working, and dedicated students that help support the school’s teams. Additionally, the squad competes yearly in National Cheerleading Competitions and is consistently ranked in the top 5!

PKL Services, Inc. recently received a sole-source contract award by the US Air Force (USAF), in support of USAF and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15 aircraft, beginning 1 October 2012. This multi-year contract provides functional elements spanning operations, maintenance, and simulator support to maintain the RSAF F-15SG and the USAF F-15C/D & F-15E aircraft with the 366th Maintenance Group at Mountain Home AFB, ID.
Services provided by the contract include Aviation Services & Support; Database Development, Management & Maintenance; Operation & Maintenance Services, and; Training, Education & Distance Learning. PKL Services, Inc. will provide coordination, maintenance, servicing, ground handling, inspection, and repair of all assigned Mountain Home AFB aircraft, aircraft components, engines, and associated mission support equipment as well as flying and maintenance scheduling, database management and analysis, centralized control, maintenance training functions, and specialized support functions.
For this contract, PKL will employ approximately 110 personnel, including pilots, Simulator operators, quality assurance inspectors, weapons technicians, avionics technicians, ground equipment technicians, and instructors.
