PKL Completes Another Annual Red Flag Alaska Deployment

August 29, 2024

PKL annually participates in Red Flag – Alaska, a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored training deployment. Red Flag-Alaska is designed to provide realistic training essential to the success of air and space operations in a simulated combat environment.

This year, PKL deployed its largest contingent so far with 64 contractors heading to Eielson AFB, AK in support of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) for RED FLAG AK 24-2. Along with our customers, PKL Flightline Crew Chiefs assisted in the launch and recovery of 213 sorties for 542.1 hours flown. PKL Weapons and Munitions personnel prepared and supervised the loading of 10 munitions and over 5000 countermeasures that were expended for a 100% release rate. PKL Specialists worked tirelessly to repair aircraft in between sorties in preparation for the next air tasking order leading to a phenomenal 96.2% mission capable rate for the 14 aircraft deployed. Before, during and after the exercise, PKL Support and AGE personnel were instrumental in the coordinating and loading of 20 truckloads of equipment consisting of over 1100 items to support the flying operations at Eielson. All items were returned to Mountain Home AFB, ID and reconciled upon return with no missing items.

Congrats to our MHAFB team and their success at Red Flag-Alaska!
